The Observatory of Economic and Social Rights is a research and study center within the Ladies First Association, established in June 2020 with support from the European Endowment for Democracy (EED). The Observatory has conducted five major studies, including:<\/p>\r\n\r\n

– The \u00ab\u00a0Kadihat\u00a0\u00bb study, a field study on the working conditions of women in agricultural work in Sidi Bouzid in 2021.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

– Another field study on women and public affairs, focusing on the Regueb Municipality (2022),<\/p>\r\n\r\n

– A study on the health conditions of women workers in the agricultural sector, as well as other studies addressing violence against women in rural areas.2022<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n

-Conduct Comprehensive Research: Undertake detailed research and studies on economic and social rights issues, including labor conditions, access to education, health care, and social security, to provide evidence-based insights and recommendations.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

-Raise Awareness: Increase public awareness and understanding of economic and social rights issues through publications, reports, and outreach activities, aiming to educate both policymakers and the general public.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

-Advocate for Policy Change: Use research findings to advocate for policy reforms and improvements in laws and regulations related to economic and social rights, working with stakeholders to drive meaningful change.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

-Support Capacity Building: Provide training and resources to civil society organizations, community leaders, and other stakeholders to enhance their capacity to address economic and social rights issues effectively.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

-Promote Data Sharing: Facilitate the sharing of data and best practices among researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to foster collaboration and improve the effectiveness of interventions.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

-Assess Impact:- Evaluate the impact of existing policies and programs on economic and social rights to identify gaps and propose evidence-based solutions for enhancing their effectiveness.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

-Strengthen Advocacy Networks: Build and strengthen networks with other organizations and institutions working on economic and social rights to coordinate efforts and amplify the impact of advocacy initiatives.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
